Hello, I’m Pete Lankarge, owner of Caring Transitions of Newport, RI — proudly serving Newport County, Bristol County, and East Providence. My career in sales and business development led me into the world of franchising, where I studied hundreds of brands and earned the Certified Franchise Executive designation from the International Franchise Association in 2024. That work affirmed what I value most: strong systems, clear communication, and businesses that create real community impact. Caring Transitions aligned perfectly with those values and with the needs of the Ocean State. One of the reasons that I chose this path is because our region has a vibrant senior community and a rich history of auctions and estate sales, both of which I have long admired. I also saw the importance of thoughtful support when my sister, who has a developmental disability, recently transitioned to a group home — an experience that deepened my commitment to helping families through complex moments. My goal is to bring structure, care, and reliability to every project so that families feel confident and supported from start to finish. I’m proud to invest my time and energy here at home, building local partnerships and delivering service that reflects Rhode Island values. When I am not meeting with clients, you might find me onstage as the lead singer of Pete LaGrange & the Ghost Riders, or on the baseball diamond in the Island Baseball League — reminders of how closely connected I am to this community.
